Sarah established her namesake firm in 2008 following an undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University, a masters program in interior design at Parson’s The New School and an internship with renowned designer Celerie Kemble. After several years among the industry giants of New York City, Sarah brought the firm back to Old Town in Chicago where it has been headquartered ever since.
Sarah Vaile Design quickly became the sought-after choice among Chicago’s elite with projects spanning Lincoln Park and the Gold Coast to the esteemed suburbs of Winnetka, Kenilworth and Hinsdale. They also enjoyed four consecutive appearances in the esteemed Lake Forest Showhouse and the cover project of September 2024's House Beautiful.
The firm has since expanded its presence across the United States with projects reaching from New York City, Boston and Washington D.C., to Palmetto Bluff.
